Though low priced, this 2 prong foil body cord is entirely legal, well-designed and made with considerately good parts, unlike the house brands of many other suppliers. To begin with, satisfying USFA and FIE regulations, our alligator clips are properly both screwed and soldered to the connecting wire. The metal of the two prongs is sturdy and the plug locks into place, not by a loose and breakable plastic clip, but by a metal spring clip that is part of the plug and reaches down to latch on to the bottom of the socket. This is a first competition jacket, fully equipped for convenience, comfort and independence. Strong with double-ply front (as required in all domestic competitions) and fencing arm, it has a front zip to make it easy for the fencer to put on and take off. The form-fitting fabric is ideal for epee fencers, since there is no excess material "hanging" at the body and sleeves for the opponent's point to catch onto. At the top of the zipper, the neck is secured by a Velcro closure that adjusts for perfect comfort and fit. Jacket line is neatened and made safe at the bottom by an adjustable groin strap; and a strongly anchored D-ring presents itself proudly for the first hook-ups to electrical fencing.
Foil/sabre body cord 2-pin - French Style

Leon Paul body cords have a wealth of features that make them superior to those made by other manufacturers. Leon Paul's three-pin plug is more reliable than many others; the pins are slightly offset meaning that as the plug is pushed in the pins are forced to straighten providing increased tension and a perfect contact throughout its life. Leon Paul body cords wires are made from double spun multi core copper cable, each core being made of hundreds of twisted copper filaments. This gives the wire greater flexibility and increases its fatigue life. The wires are coated with clear plastic so that if it does eventually break you can see where it has broken and just trim it rather than replace the whole item. The covers on both plugs are made from a one-piece flexible plastic moulding. This allows the wire to flex inside the plug and prevents it from being bent repeatedly at the point of entry, which increases the lifespan of the wire. Finally, all terminations are made with piercing screws which are much more reliable and allow easy maintanance.
